One of the most important things to consider in putting up a business of your own is the location of your prospected business. Sometimes, even though you offer the best products and has the best business concepts, it just wouldn’t work out if you have the business at the wrong place.
The business’ proximity to your target consumers is the first thing to consider. If you would put up a food shop or a restaurant, you should rent or buy a space near places which would have hungry people walking around, like in malls, or beside stores, schools, hospitals, etc. If you want to put up a gas station, it is important that you get a place where cars or other vehicles pass by your store. Why would you someone buy gasoline in a station where his car cannot access?
Another important thing is that your business is connected to the businesses around your place. If you offer souvenir items, it is important that you get a place in tourist spots or resorts where tourists would really want to buy something as a remembrance. If you sell office and school supplies, you should be near a school.
Monopoly is also considered sometimes, however, could mean taking risks. If you are the only one who has the products, consumers will definitely get the products nowhere else but from you.
